Sound Bites > Second Language Learners

The following interviews were produced at the University of Texas at Austin by Yaron Shemer and Esther Raizen as part of the Modern Hebrew Project. Technical support was provided by Christopher D. Blandy from ACITS. The interviewees were second language learners from Canada, El Salvador, Mexico, Romania, Russia, and the US. You will notice their accents, and the occasional errors in their speech— these are authentic learners, and very successful ones, errors and all!

The interviews are presented in segments for the sake of fast streaming.

Because of our emphasis on the listening comprehension skill, we do not provide parallel transcriptions or captioning.
